What is the new DSE score conversion scale used by most universities?

With effect from 2024/2025, many universities (like HKU, CUHK, HKUST) adopted a new conversion scale for Category A subjects: 5**=8.5, 5*=7, 5=5.5, 4=4, 3=3, 2=2, 1=1. This gives a stronger advantage to top performers.
